Top 5 Beauty Hearts | August Hearts <3

beauty hearts

If you haven’t seen  my previous August Hearts, here was my Healthy Hearts post. So onto the beauty section of my monthly hearts series. This month I haven’t used so many makeup products. In summer I tend to use much less makeup  and on top of that I have been deep cleaning my house so I wasn’t wearing any make up on such days except for a little mascara and blush when I had errands to run.

Inika Powder Blush – in Blooming Nude

When I first purchased this blush I was unsure of how to use it. Applying it similarly to a compact blush didn’t seem to work and I ended up with super red cheeks. I have been experimenting with ways to apply such blush and I think I found the best way and have been loving it. I apply it using my next beauty favourite

Inika Blush Brush

This is the perfect brush for applying powder blush. I dab the brush into the powder blush container, tap it a little to remove the excess powder. Then I apply a line on top of my cheeks, the same way I apply stick blushers. I blend it in with the brush itself. The brush is very soft perfect for sensitive skin and it is the perfect companion to the blush. Sometimes I blend in the blush more with the Inika Kabuki brush to reduce the pigment of the blush. But I don’t really have to if I tap the brush enough to remove all the excess product.

Essence – I <3 Extreme volume waterproof mascara

I have been looking for a waterproof mascara for ages. I don’t really use waterproof mascara that often, I try to avoid as much as possible, but sometimes if the weather is super hot or I am going to the beach, I prefer using a waterproof mascara to avoid looking like a panda! I have used loads of essence products in the past so I went ahead and picked this one up. Its cheap and its perfect for the summer months. Have been loving it so far.

Kent – WoodyHog Brush

I’ve had this brush for over a year now, intact I have posted about it HERE. I’ve purchased it cos I’ve read that wooden brushes do less hair damage, so I’ve given this one a go. I love it, it’s perfect for daily brushing and it is also good for giving myself a head massage. I have noticed less breakage since  I’ve been using it. Perfect!

Faith in Nature – Lavender and Geranium Conditioner

Let me start by saying that I am in love with the scent. I love it, it is very relaxing yet refreshing and the product is very good a well. Faith in Nature is one of the first brands I tried since I wanted to use cleaner products and I love the brand. This is the third bottle of this particular conditioner and it leaves my hair feel super soft and it smells amazing. It is as good as some of the high end products for half of the price .
