Some stuff I have been loving this month. I decided to follow last month’s style and split my favourites into Health Beauty and lifestyle. I plan to splits my posts accordingly every month and have the Monthly Hearts as a monthly series. I will split posts accordingly, but I might not feature all three posts every month. It depends on the actual stuff I am loving in the current month. So onto my favourites
I haven’t watched the FOK documentary yet, but I have seen snippets and reviews of it on youtube. However the cookbook is amazing. It has loads of simple recipes which are very easy and quick to prepare, perfect for weekday dinners. All the recipes are plant based and so far all the recipes I tried are oil free. Perfect for a healthy lifestyle! The only downside is that less than half of the recipes have an accompanying photo. I will be doing a review of this cookbook soon
Another cookbook, on the contrary to the FOK cookbook, this one is full of amazing photographs. It has loads of information and even if you don’t want to try out the recipes, the information alone is well worth the book. I love Kris Carr and I have written a review on this book here
I was not sure whether I should include this in the health or beauty section of the monthly hearts series. But obviously, I decided to go with health, mainly because of the reason I use it. I sometimes experience tension in my head and my scalp feels sore. Especially after a day of wearing a pony tail or having my hair in a tight bun. I’ve been putting a couple of drops of this tonic on my scalp and massage it in and I feel an instant relief and my head feels refreshed
I use Aloe vera for a lot of things. This past month it has been perfect for cooking burns, sun burns, eye brow gel as well as for mixing it with a couple drops of tea tree oil and apply it on spots. The one I use is by the brand Naissance and I buy it from Amazon
Lastly is a food item. I love Fettucine and Tagliatelle and I have been looking for a healthy alternative. I think I have found the perfect match! The Organic Edamame and Mung beans one is super delicious it is very close to the ‘normal’ pasta but it is made out of beans and is high in fibre. I use it in place of pasta and have been really enjoying it.
