Golden Milk

I have been into natural remedies for quite some time now, but recently I’ve been looking into it more and have been trying out new things. One thing I came across is golden milk which is made out of Tumeric. I’ve known that Tumeric is super beneficial but I’ve only every used it in curries and stir fries. This way I can incorporate it into my daily routine and it is very easy to make.

Unlike some recipes I’ve found, in this one I create the paste first, which I keep in a jar for up to a couple of days, and the I just add betweek half to one teaspoon of the paste into some warm nut milk.

For the paste:

  • Tumeric
  • Water
  • Black Pepper

For the milk:

  • Almond Milk / Coconut milk
  • Coconut Oil

For the paste:

In a frying pan put the tumeric (I usually use around a teaspoon of powdered tumeric) and black pepper (to your liking) and heat it up a little bit add some water until the mixture forms a paste. Stir until it warms up and store the mixture in a glass jar.

For the milk:

Add 1/2 – 1 tsp of the paste mixture to a cup of almond milk heat it up in a pan then add 1 tsp of coconut oil for added taste and benefits.

Drink and Enjoy!

It is very simple to make and has a tonne of health benefits.

P.S. If possible, use glass containers and mugs / cups as it stains a lot and rinse your mouth with water after drinking
