Another end of month is with us and as per usual, this means that a new monthly favourites post is here!
Urban Decay – Naked 3 Palette – Let me start by saying that I am not very good at applying eyeshadow, but I have improved, since I had this palette as I love it so much, I try to incorporate it into my daily routine. I love the pink / golden shades, it is very pigmented and it stays on well throughout the day. I apply it in the morning and by the time I come home from work it is still going strong! I rarely use eye shadow primer with it and it still stays on for a good number of hours.
Sunday Riley – Start Over Active Eye Cream – I got this eye cream in one of Cult Beauty’s Goody Bag as a gift with purchase, and I’ve only started to use it recently but I am really impressed. I am using it as part of my morning routine and a little goes a long way, It feels very refreshing upon application and the eye area feels tighter once applied. It keeps my eye area well moisturised as well as helps in reducing the appearance of fine lines
Pai – Geranium and Thistle Rebalancing Day Cream – I honestly can’t get enough of Pai products, and this moisturiser is no exception. I have been using this day cream for months now and I use it as a part of my morning routine. It keeps my face well moisturised, I love the scent of geranium in it as it is not very strong and although it is not one of the cheapest products, a little goes a long way. I cover all of my face with just 1 pump and it is amazing on sensitive skin, like all other Pai products.
Burts Bees – Honey Lip Balm – This might me a bold statement but this is one of the best lip balms I have ever tried! The texture is amazing smooth and creamy yet not sticky, it instantly moisturises my lips and the subtle scent of honey is soothing yet sweet, perfect for use before bedtime to keep for keeping my lips moisturised throughout the night!
Inika – Liquid Foundation – I got this foundation with one of the Inika Make Up Kits – similar to this and I have tried other organic foundations but always in powder form, I kept putting off trying out this foundation as I thought that it might look patchy or cakey and I never had enough time to start over. I gave this a go a couple of weeks ago and was really impressed, it gives a nice coverage, light – medium, stays on really well throughout the day and blends in easily. It is also easy to apply and I apply it using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Some random / content favourties, I have been loving this month are, Kathleen Lights her videos and her eye makeup tutorials are amazing, I wish we can have a one on one tutorial, she applies eye makeup beautifully and her chatty videos make me laugh!
Another person I have been following lately is Alexis Giostra, she is amazing at planning and productivity and since I really needed a kick in the tushie to get things done, following her videos and her blog, strange and charmed really helped me get motivated. Her tips are awesome!
