I am always on the lookout for new beauty tips, and I love reading tried and tested tips and try to incorporate them into my routine. Having said so, not everyone’s skin is the same, so what works for me might not work for you, however these are my current favourite tips which I live by daily:
Cotton Buds and Moisturiser – this is my favourite tip! I squeeze some moisturiser on my hand, dip a cotton bud into it and fix any make up errors I make during or after application. I use this to sort out my eyeliner, eyeshadow, and even mascara if it touches my skin. This removes / fixes any mistakes easily without drying out the skin, infact it will moisturise your skin since you will be applying moisturiser
Exfoliate regularly – exfoliation keeps your skin soft and supple. I use various kinds of exfoliation both on my face and body
- Body: I use Shower Exfoliating Gloves for my daily morning shower. This leaves my body smooth, removes any dead skin cells and keep my shower routine quick without the need to add extra products since I just use my normal soap with them
- Face – I use various methods for face exfoliation; for my evening routine I use either a cotton wash cloth such as the Emma Hardie Cloth or a muslin cloth such as the balm balm muslin with my cleanser or coconut oil to remove my makeup. I use the my Foreo Luna for Sensitive to Normal skin daily for my morning cleanse again with my cleanser. Then as an addition exfoliant I apply my Alpha H Liquid Gold with a cotton pad once or twice a week without applying moisturiser afterwards. Since I have been including such steps in my routine, I have seen great improvements in the look and feel of my skin. I will be posting my updated skincare routine soon if you are interested.
Moisturise Daily – I moisturise my face daily, morning and night and I try to at least moisturise my body every other day
Coconut Oil – I use raw coconut oil to remove all makeup including waterproof eye make up, cleanse my face as part of my evening routine and sometimes use it as a moisturiser for both face and body
Drink Plenty of Water – the most important tip yet! Stay hydrated, this will help your skin to appear healthy, reduce the appearance of dry skin, prolong or improve the appearance fine lines and wrinkles, improve the appearance of dark circles as well as other benefits all along!
