Following my skincare haul here, I have been craving some new makeup items, and I had given into temptation and purchased some make up “essentials” during the past month or so.
I have been wanting a good make up brush for my hand bag for quite some time and since I love my real techniques brushes, I thought I would try one of their latest releases. The Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush is the one I opted for since it is great for powder, blush and bronzer which makes it excellent as those are the 3 products I may re apply along the day. Since it is retractable and comes with a nice cap it makes it an excellent brush to keep in the handbag as it keeps the bristles protected.
I have been wanting this palette since it came out, however I’ve been putting it on hold mainly due to the price. I love the rose and gold colours in this palette and have been watching tutorials and reading a lot of reviews about it and I finally made a decision to purchase the Urban Decay – Naked 3 Palatte. I must admit I love the content of this palette, the only flaw I have about it is the packaging as I thought it would be more sturdy.
Following my naked 3 purchase, I needed some decent eye make up brushes since I didn’t have any, and since I love real techniques, I thought I would give their Real Techniques Starter Set a go. I’m in no way an expert in makeup especially eye makeup but I am loving these brushes so far, and although I don’t have other high end brushes to compare them to, I am really liking them so far.
I don’t use foundation on a daily basis, however I have been wanting to try a good coverage foundation and I have come across this Max Factor Face Finity 3 in 1 foundation in the shade Natural 50 which is quite high coverage, includes SPF 20 and is easy to apply. I haven’t used it enough times to review it yet as I have only used it twice, but I am liking the formulation so far.
During my search for foundation I have come across this Max Factor Excess Volume Marscara in black which I can say is amazing and gives me nice voluminous lashes.
Lastly I have purchased some lip products, 3 of which are from the Tanya Burr Collection. I’ve been following Tanya’s blog here for quite some time now and I wanted to try out some of her products. I got the shades; Picnic in the park, Afternoon Tea and Vampire Kiss.
Lastly I got a lipstick from one of my favourite brands Rimmel, I got the Moisture Renew in 660 In love with ginger which is a bright coral colour, which I think is amazing all year long.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourite beauty products?
